2013 UK OPTICAL DESIGN MEETING
The 2013 UK Optical Design Meeting (UKODM) was organized by Tina Kidger, Kidger Optics Associates and Andy Wood, Qioptiq. It was held at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Harwell Oxford, Didcot, OX11 0QX, 19 September 2013. Kevin Middleton of RAL Space at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory superbly facilitated venue sponsorship and provision of excellent RAL Space staff assistance.

The meeting was a one day event allowing local attendees the convenience and economy of a one day excursion to the venue.  Optical design professionals, students and other interested persons were in attendance.  Administrative assistance was very professionally provided by Karin Burger, Kaybee Communications.

Meeting sponsorship, including venue, refreshments and lunch was provided by Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). Student travel within the UK was supported by Synopsys, Optical Solutions Group. Additional sponsorship was provided by Comar Instruments, Cambridge, UK.
